Do I have to read Music?
Short answer is no.
Long answer is that although I read music I don't believe it is a neccesity to be able to play music, or learn how to play the guitar.
I will teach students notation if they so desire or require for exams.
Do I have to buy any books?
Not at all, All lesson material is provided for free including online material.
How long do lessons last and how many should I take a week?
Lessons last for 45 minutes and I suggest once a week.
How long will it take for me to learn?
This is the big question I get asked and the simple answer is I don't really know. Practice is an issue but it is also down to the individual. Personally I found it quite difficult at the beginning.
I also suggest a practice regime, to begin with 15 minutes a day, every day. Consistancy is the key. I also recommend small bursts, 5 minutes 3-4 times a day has been very effective, keep you guitar within eyesight. Not locked up in a case, under the bed or in a corner of the bedroon.
